September 2012 Sloan-C Institute Featured Participant – Dr. Ronald Williams
Our Sloan-C Institute featured participant of the Month is Dr. Ronald Williams.
Dr. Williams is the chair of the Department of Management and Marketing at the Coppin State University School of Business in Baltimore, MD. In 2012, Ronald participated in the Sloan-C Certificate Program foundation course as well as three additional workshops in the Design and Delivery track.
Ronald was an exceptional community member in his workshops, often sharing personal anecdotes with fellow participants in order to share his experiences and the basis for his opinions. Asked about motivation for professors, Ronald stated, "Intrinsic motivation has the potential to continuous[ly] facilitate our movement beyond our recognized capabilities. Trusting the process and its outcomes is how we accelerate learning."
The workshops in the Design and Delivery track provide participants the opportunity to explore various curriculum and course design methodologies. All the while, the participants focus on practical applications and strategies associated with effecting positive student outcomes.
We are proud to have you in our Sloan-C Institute community, Dr. Ronald Williams!
