December 2012 Facilitator of the Month - Shari McCurdy Smith

Our Facilitator of the Month for December 2012 is Shari McCurdy Smith. 


Shari also serves as a mentor for the Sloan-C Online Teaching Certificate Program and as the Conference Chair for Sloan-C's Annual International Symposium for Emerging Technologies for Online Learning. In October 2012, Shari also facilitated a group of program participants in the Foundation Course.

 

Shari is an online learning consultant with eighteen years experience in educational technology and thirteen years in higher education online learning as an instructional designer and administrator. Her professional experience includes the review, development, and implementation of new online programs and courses; support of technology, faculty, research in online education; state grant writing and evaluation, state-wide program planning, management and leadership training, and nation-wide workshop facilitation/faculty development and conference planning.


Her research interests include the student experience in online, e-mentoring, transparency, leadership, social media, workload, and inter-institutional collaborations.
