My primary position involves faculty development for online/hybrid course design and delivery.  I also teach graduate courses in Adult Learning theory and methods, and occasionally in our Educational Technology graduate program.  I am currently a doctoral student, pursuing a Ph.D in Education Leadership, emphasis in Higher Education.  Yes, I keep busy - and still managed to participate in the Sloan-C certificate program and continue to take several of the workshops - thanks to the College Pass! :)

I work most directly with faculty who are developing online and hybrid courses, and have been since the late '90s.  I've also been teaching online that long, although in recent years, I've chosen to teach traditional in-seat courses.  In 2011, I'm back to primarily online/hybrid.   In both faculty development and teaching, I focus a lot on developing community in an online environment, collaboration, asynchronous discussion in support of these, and teaching methods and assessment for student learning.

I am always interested in building on my current knowledge and improving what I do and how I do it, both for my own teaching and for faculty development.  As my  institution is finally moving into the arena of assuring quality and standards for online/hybrid teaching, I've enjoyed the role that I've had in both leadership and influence, and desire to build on that.  I continue to be open and interested in expanding my teaching (faculty development) beyond my institution, whether through conferences, papers (of which I have no time to produce right now!), or other opportunities.
