Diane Chapman is a Teaching Associate Professor and Director of the Training & Development Online M.Ed. and certificate programs at NC State University. Prior to joining NCSU, Diane served as the Coordinator for Online Instruction at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Public Health and as Training Manager for a Fortune 500 manufacturing firm. In addition, she has over 20 years of management experience in business and industry. She presents and publishes regularly in the areas of online teaching and learning, program, evaluation, and administration of distance learning programs. Her most recent research involves the evaluation and affect in e-learning, using Virtual Worlds as an instructional strategy, and collaborative learning in conference environments.
