I have served as Executive Director of the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics, and Character at Kennesaw State University. At Coles College of Business, I served as Chair of the Department of Leadership and Professional Development and Director of Programming for the Executive MBA Programs, Currently I am a Professor of Management, where I teach MBA courses such as Organizational Communication, Ethics for Managerial Decision Making, Introduction to Coaching, Women’s Leadership Lab, and Reinventing Business Leadership.  I also teach one undergraduate course entitled Organizational Communication and I primarily teach it on-line.  

I have authored four editions of my text book, Improving Business Communication Skills, and I just finished a new book entitled: Communication Strategies for Today’s Managerial Leaders I have published over 35 articles in journals and proceedings. My presentations on ethical leadership, business and organizational communication topics have carried me to regional, national and international conferences.  I have traveled across Europe and Asia to lead student initiatives and teach at colleges and universities in Romania, Finland, and Singapore. With former KSU President Dr. Betty L. Siegel, I hosted and convened the first and second Oxford Conclave at Oxford University in England, designed to bring together university presidents, faculty, and students to explore the changing role of higher education in global ethical issues. In March of 2008, I was the international speaker for a Human Resources Conference held in Bucharest, Romania. In March of 2009, under the Auspices of the First Lady of Egypt, H.E. Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, I was one of six international speakers at the First International Conference onWomen, Leadership and Social Justice.
 
I currently serve as Publication Chair for the Publication Board of the Association for Business Communication.  Within my community, I serves on the advisory boards of American Pen Women’s Organization, Professional Women’s Anonymous, and ProWin.
