I am a diploma registered nurse with also a bachelor of arts degree in biology. I am in my 15th year as an employee for a branch of Indiana University East ,  doing business as   Area 9 In Home and Community Service Agency . This is 1 of 16 Area Agencies on Aging in the state of Indiana (1 of 2 affiliated with a university) and we provide services  for aging and disabled residents of all ages in  Wayne, Union, Fayette, Franklin, and Rush Counties in eastern IN.  In my position , I primarily deal with agency case managers who assess and monitor IN residents  who qualify for Medical Medicaid and receive in home aide services under a waivered program approved by CMS for individuals who would physically qualify to be in a nursing home. I act as a resource in interpreting Indiana waiver regulations , review all plans prior to them being exported to the State for decision., and act as the agency liaison with the State for this program.
