Judy Oskam is Professor and Director of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University. She served as Associate Professor and Associate Director for Round Rock Programs since fall 2006. Before joining Texas State University, Oskam was an associate professor in the College of Mass Communications at Texas Tech University. Oskam has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/TV/Film from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications and Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University.

An award-winning teacher, Oskam teaches traditional, hybrid and online classes. In 2011, She earned the Sloan Consortium Online Teaching Certificate. She conducts workshops and presentations on hybrid and online teaching. Oskam serves on the Texas State University Extended and Distance Education Steering Committee.
