Erin Macri is the Instrument Specialist and Services Coordinator at Western Washington University’s Scientific Technical Services where she provides training, logistical, and technical support for the scientific instrumentation associated with the University Instrument Center and the Integrated Laboratory Network (ILN) initiative. The goal of the ILN Initiative is to provide anytime/anyplace access to scientific instrumentation and supporting curricular materials over the internet. Erin is the lead investigator for the HP Catalyst funded project Remote Access to Scientific Instrumentation and Online Labs for STEM Education: Building Laboratory Parity throughout the Curriculum. This project is investigating the issue of parity between face-to-face and remote laboratory learning experiences and the integration of Tablet PC’s in the lab curriculum.  Erin obtained her B.S. and M.Ed. from Western Washington University.
