Short Bio: 

Michael Starenko is an Instructional Design Consultant in Teaching & Learning Services at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He collaborates with faculty to support and enhance their teaching and pedagogical knowledge via consultations, workshops, courses, conferences, and publications. Michael is the editor of Reflections on Blended Learning: Rethinking the Classroom (2008) and lead author of “Enhancing Student Interaction and Sustaining Faculty Instructional Innovations through Blended Learning,” a chapter in Blended Learning: Research Perspectives (2007). His areas of expertise are online education, sociology, critical theory, and media studies. He teaches online courses at Charter Oak State College, and has taught campus courses at the University of Rochester, RIT, the Visual Studies Workshop, Syracuse University, Columbia College, and the Rhode Island School of Design. Michael has a B.A. from Kalamazoo College and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.
