Linda S. Scheirton, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions at Creighton University. She holds academic appointments in Occupational Therapy with secondary appointments in Physical Therapy, Pharmacy Sciences and Pharmacy Practice programs; a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics in the School of Dentistry; and is a Faculty Associate in the Center for Health Policy and Ethics.Recently she returned to full-time teaching after serving more than 13 years as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions at Creighton University. Dr. Scheirton has interdisciplinary experience in health care ethics, health care administration, patient safety, clinical practice, academic teaching, university administration and educational leadership. She has completed fellowship programs in philosophical ethics and clinical bioethics. She currently teaches ethics-related courses in an occupational therapy clinical doctoral program, a master of science in health care ethics program and an interdisciplinary doctoral program in leadership.
