Online Workshop Description: 
Getting Started: The First Step toward Online Teaching is a prerequisite to The Sloan-C Certificate program. This workshop introduces potential faculty and/or administrators to online education fundamentals. You will not only discuss the concepts but use the technologies to gain practical "hands-on" experience.
Schedule: 
Workshop Opens - March 3rd. Please introduce yourself and begin reviewing materials
Workshop Orientation - Wednesday, March 5th at 2pm EST

Presenter/Panelist Biographies
Biographies of Presenters/Panelists: 

As the Associate Director of Faculty Training and Development at Colorado Community Colleges Online (CCCO), Sharon Taylor is responsible for assessing needs, identifying trends, developing training courses, and training faculty to bridge their knowledge and skills gaps. She also serves as an adjunct faculty at three universities: Colorado Community Colleges Online, Capella University, Franklin University. Taylor has been teaching online business classes since spring of 2003, along with mentoring/coaching faculty and redesigning several courses. For the past three years (2004-2006), she was presented with Gold Medal Faculty and Best Practice Teaching awards at Colorado Community Colleges Online. In addition to being employed as an academician, she is the sole proprietor of a small business, S. A. Taylor Publishing, which provides instructional supplements for higher-education textbooks.
