Online Workshop Description: 
Second Life is an extremely popular 3D virtual environment that has many applications for education, from increasing social interactions to deepening learning. In this workshop, you'll learn some of the basic Second Life skills that will help you successfully enjoy your second life. You'll also get a brief introduction to some of the educational possibilities of Second Life.
Schedule: 
Workshop Opens - October 5th. Please introduce yourself and begin reviewing materials
Workshop Orientation - Wednesday, October 5th at 4pm EST
Workshop Officially Closes - October 14th. All workshop materials will be available through October 5, 2012

Biographies of Presenters/Panelists: 

Bethany Bovard

Bethany Bovard is the Instructional Designer for Sloan-C. Her primary interestes and work all relate to professional development of all educators interested in learning how to teach online. Bethany's background in computer technologies began in the late 1970's when she took her first programming class, and she continues to be an avid user of all types of computer technology. While she is passionate about technology in general, her real interest is in helping teachers and faculty find and select the right technologies to support the learning objectives of their courses.
