Sloan-C Workshops
Sloan-C provides the full-range of workshops to meet all of your faculty and staff online teaching and learning needs. Each workshop is developed by practitioners for practitioners; enabling thousands of colleagues worldwide to collaborate cost effectively with peers and experts, via real-time and asynchronous meetings.
2013 Workshop Program
The 2013 workshop offerings have undergone major changes to help you quickly acquire the skills you need in an efficient and effective manner. Workshops formats include one week (asynchronous) and half-day (synchronous) sessions. All workshops open with a live content session in BlackBoard Collaborate. This will allow you to interact and ask questions you might have about the topics in order to enhance your workshop experience. The estimated time for the one-week workshop ranges from 7-10 hours and the half-day workshops require 4 hours. These estimates are based on your initial skills and knowledge entering the event.
2013 Workshop Prices - Lower prices for 2013
Pricing for all 2013 workshops (both regular one week and ½ day intensive formats) has been made simpler and even more affordable for both Sloan-C members and non-members in 2013. Sloan-C members will automatically get the member workshop price when registering for all workshops*. The cost is $169 per workshop for an unlimited number of workshops (previous workshop prices were $345 and $495). This means that members are now saving even more on workshops and never paying more than the $169 member price! Non-members also will enjoy more affordable pricing – all workshops are just $269. College Pass holders can still use College Pass coupons for all workshops (one coupon is used for each workshop).

*Members must be logged in to their Sloan-C account and affiliated with their member institution (unless individual member) to receive member prices; in the past members were issued coupons for $150 off each workshop.
The Mastery Series - New for 2013
The Mastery Series emphasizes theory and application of research on key topics, grounded in formal learning that includes research and proof of practice. Each Mastery Series is focused on creating a quality skill-set in the field of study. Successful completion of a Mastery Series culminates in a Recognition of Mastery in a topic. Each series consists of three workshops that help you explore relevant research and use that research to help you design an effective teaching and learning environments.

Problem Solving Workshops (1/2 day) - New for 2013
In response to your interest in more intensive engagements, we have created new ½ day, intensive Problem Solving Workshops. These workshops will give you the opportunity to work though specific problems and issues. This shorter timeframe in an intensive workshop experience is designed to move you to problem resolution quickly and efficiently. The Intensive experience will include three modes of participation: synchronous discussion, group work, and individual work. Once you register for one of these learning events, we ask that you block this time off in your calendar so that you can join and interact through this learning experience.
